Attorney General Lisa Madigan announced a campaign to help immigrants in Illinois know their rights and responsibilities in the event they interact with police and/or immigration agents. This campaign initiated in response to the recent executive actions relating to immigration and sanctuary cities. Madigan provides a guide that summarizes rights, expectations of law enforcement interactions, and resources to avoid fraudulent immigration services.
