
Lisa Scott has been concentrating
in Immigration and Nationality law since 1986. Her practice
received an AV® rating (very high to preeminent) from
Martindale-Hubbell. Ms. Scott has received a federal appointment
as an immigration judge, and served on the National Board
of Governors of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association.
She also chaired the Chicago Chapter of the American Immigration
Lawyers Association and was Chair of the Immigration Law Section
of the Chicago Bar Association. Ms. Scott is a frequent speaker
at professional and community seminars, and was invited to
speak at the national conference of the American Immigration
Lawyers Association. She has appeared on WTTW's Chicago Tonight,
the Continuing Legal Education television network of the Chicago
Bar Association, and WBEZ National Public Radio. She has been
quoted in the local media, including the Chicago Tribune.
The first in her family to be born in the United States, Lisa
Scott is also the first in her family to graduate from high
school. Lisa Scott is a graduate of Vassar College and Case
Western Reserve University School of Law. She speaks German,
and is studying French. In 2000, Lisa Scott became certified
as a Montessori teacher by the American Montessori Society.
