The Lottery: The Struggle of International Students
Work visas have become one of the biggest obstacles for international students, especially under Trump’s executive order, “Buy American, Hire American.” The policy protects American workers’ employment. However, it’s a loss to companies who trained and invested in talented international workers. The chance of getting a work visa is not based on one’s performance, but pure luck.
“The Lottery,” follows the young couple Alex and Jenny as they struggle to obtain work visas through the increasingly difficult immigration process under President Trump’s “Buy American, Hire American” executive order.
