U.S. to Naturalize 15,000 New Citizens on 4th of July

Your Go-To Immigration Resource

“July Fourth marks the birth of our country, and for 15,000 people, it marks the birth of a new chapter as American citizens. These new members of our community will add to the diverse fabric of our nation and will now be able to enjoy the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of U.S. citizenship.” – USCIS Acting Director McCament

This 4th of July, USCIS is expecting to naturalize 15,000 new citizens. Independence Day and the Declaration of Independence are visible throughout the naturalization test. This year’s Independence Day activities include the naturalization ceremony in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 3rd. There will be a live Facebook stream of the ceremony (view here). Other events for the holiday weekend can be seen here.
