EMPLOYMENT-BASED IMMIGRATION FOURTH PREFERENCE EB-4

You must be a special immigrant to qualify under the employment-based, fourth preference visa. The following individuals qualify as special immigrants:

  • Religious Worker
  • Special Immigrant Juveniles
  • Armed Forces Members
  • Certain Physicians
  • International Employees of the U.S. Government abroad
  • Broadcasters
  • G-4 International Organization or NATO-6 Employees and their dependents
  • Afghan and Iraqi Translators
  • Afghan and Iraqi Nationals who have provided faith service in support of U.S. operations
  • It is generally the employer in the United States who files the petition on behalf of the special immigrant but, in some situations, the employee may self-petition. The instructions of Form I-
